Introducing the Forge 12: a fishing kayak built as an open platform, so you decide what it becomes. Stock doesn't mean basic. Every Forge comes standard with stand-up stability, a dry ride on a raised floor with 600 lb of capacity, a smartly designed open floor plan, and hands-free foot-controlled rudder steering. From there, build it your way: keep it simple and paddle, add our new xRange pedal drive with its all-new steering system, or go electric with an easy-to-install motorization package. With a smooth, rounded bow that handles everything from rivers to bays, the Forge is the most accessible way into the Native lineup, built to perform well above it.

New Hand-Controlled Rudder Steering System. Built Around You.*

*Included with the X-Range Upgrade Kit. The Forge ships with foot-controlled rudder steering.

Your Handle, Your Spot. Mount it on the left or right, high or low, wherever it feels right to you. You decide where your steering goes.
Super Smooth. Self-lubricating bushings, plus stainless steel cables and housings borrowed from the bike industry, keep every turn smooth and responsive.
Dial It In. Heat and cold make a kayak expand and contract, which can leave steering loose or tight. An easy-adjust cable housing lets you take up or add slack right on the water, so your steering always feels right.
